Everything clear before you set off

Via Salzburg, Linz, Vienna, the Nickelsdorf crossing and Győr.

You need 2 e‑vignettes, Austrian and Hungarian.

€50.14

Costed for a return trip that leaves one day and comes back 7 days later, so the destination is covered for all 8 calendar days and every country on the way is crossed twice. A longer stay moves a country to a longer e‑vignette and changes the total: the planner works out your own dates.

The countries you cross, in order

  • Germany

No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars.

  • Austria

10-day e‑vignette, covering the 2 days you are in the country

    €21.75
  • Hungary

10-day e‑vignette, covering the 8 days you are in the country

    €28.39

No vignette is needed in Germany.

The drive

Seven hundred kilometres on two e‑vignettes, and the German half costs nothing. Austria and Hungary both issue digital e‑vignettes read by camera, so the plate you give has to match the registration document exactly, including the country prefix where the plate carries one. A wrong character is the usual reason an e‑vignette that was paid for does not register.
