Terms of service
These terms apply to every order placed on toll.one. Please read the section on immediate fulfilment before you pay: it explains why an order usually cannot be cancelled once it has been placed.
Who we are and what we do
toll.one is an independent purchasing service. When you place an order, you instruct us to buy the digital vignette you selected from the official road operator of that country and to have it registered to the licence plate you entered. We are not a road operator, a government body or an official reseller, and we have no special status with any operator.
This service is operated by Adviesnetwerk B.V.; its address and contact details are on the imprint page. Support is available at support@toll.one.
Your order
An order is placed when you complete checkout and our payment provider confirms your payment. Reaching a success page in your browser is not confirmation; the confirmation email we send is, and your private order page shows the current state of the order at any time.
We may decline an order before we have bought the vignette, for example if the product is unavailable, if the details look wrong, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline an order, you receive a full refund.
Immediate fulfilment and your right to withdraw
We start arranging your vignette as soon as your payment is confirmed. That is the service you are paying for, and it is why the usual 14 day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply in the normal case.
By placing an order you expressly ask us to begin performing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that once the vignette has been bought and registered to your licence plate the service has been fully performed and you no longer have a right of withdrawal. Road operators do not allow a registered vignette to be cancelled, transferred or refunded, and we cannot undo it on your behalf.
If you change your mind, contact us at once. If we have not yet bought the vignette, we cancel your order and refund you in full. Once it has been bought, our refund policy applies.
The details you give us
We register exactly what you enter: the licence plate, the country of registration, the vehicle category and the start date. You confirm these details at checkout, and you are responsible for their accuracy.
A vignette registered to a wrong or mistyped plate is not valid for your vehicle, and operators do not allow it to be corrected afterwards. Such an order cannot be refunded. If you notice a mistake, contact us immediately: if we have not yet bought the vignette, we correct the details or cancel the order.
Some operators check the plate against a vehicle register or apply their own rules on vehicle categories. If an operator rejects the details you gave and we cannot complete the purchase, we tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and fees
Every price consists of two amounts shown separately before you pay: the official road fee, set by the operator, and our service fee for arranging the purchase. Both are shown in euro. Where an operator prices in another currency, the official fee shown is our conversion at the rate and date stated on the product page.
We charge the total shown at checkout and nothing after it. If the operator's official fee is lower on the day we buy, the difference stays with us. If it has gone up, we do not buy at the higher price: we tell you and refund you in full.
What you receive
A digital vignette is a registration of your licence plate in the operator's system. There is nothing to print or display. When the operator has confirmed the registration, we send you a confirmation email with the official reference and the validity period, and your order page shows the same.
Until you have that confirmation, the vignette is not active. Do not drive on tolled roads on the strength of your payment alone. Fines for driving without a valid vignette are the responsibility of the driver.
Validity
Validity periods follow the operator's rules, which we explain on each product page. For example, most daily vignettes cover a calendar day rather than 24 hours, and some annual vignettes are tied to a calendar year. The validity shown at checkout is the validity you get.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for buying the product you selected, with the details you confirmed, and for telling you promptly if we cannot. If we make a mistake in that, we buy a correct vignette at our cost or refund you in full.
We are not responsible for the operator's systems, road closures, enforcement decisions, delays caused by the operator, or the consequences of details you entered incorrectly. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limitation, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to a person.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Refunds, where they apply, go back to the payment method you used.
Support and complaints
Email support@toll.one with your order reference. We aim to answer within one business day. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint, you can also use the consumer dispute procedures available in your country of residence.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms. The version shown on this page at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of this service is established, as stated on the imprint page. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country and you may bring a claim before its courts.
These terms are written in English. If a translation is provided, the English version prevails.
