Germany to Croatia by car: the e‑vignettes for each way there
What you buy in advance for Croatia is the way there: Austria and Slovenia on every route from Germany, and Czechia as well if you come down through Prague. Which Austrian motorway you take decides the tunnel tolls on top.
Through the Tauern and Karawanks tunnels
€66.55
Via Salzburg, the Tauern tunnel, Villach and Ljubljana. You need 2 e‑vignettes, Austrian and Slovenian.
Croatia has no e‑vignette: its motorway tolls are paid at the toll booth, and we do not sell those.
Puts this way's e‑vignettes in the box at the top, with your plate kept.
The countries you cross, in order

- €44.80

Tolls the e‑vignette does not cover
- the Tauern and Katschberg tunnels
- The A10 between Salzburg and Villach charges a separate toll for its two tunnels, paid at the barrier.
- the Karawanks tunnel
- The A11 tunnel into Slovenia charges a toll at the portal that neither the Austrian nor the Slovenian e‑vignette covers.
These are paid at the barrier on the day and are not part of the total above.
The drive
The classic line from Munich and the south of Germany towards Istria, Rijeka and Zagreb: the A10 over the Alps to Villach, then the Karawanks tunnel into Slovenia. Two e‑vignettes, Austrian and Slovenian, and two tunnel tolls in Austria on top of them. The Slovenian e‑vignette starts at the tunnel's southern portal and covers the motorway on to the Croatian border.
Through the Pyhrn motorway and Graz

Via Passau, the Pyhrn motorway, Graz and Maribor. You need 2 e‑vignettes, Austrian and Slovenian.

These are paid at the barrier on the day and are not part of the total above.
The drive
The line from Hamburg, Hanover or the Ruhr towards Zagreb and the Dalmatian coast: the A3 to Passau, the A8 and the A9 across Upper Austria and Styria, then the Spielfeld crossing into Slovenia and the motorway past Maribor and Ptuj to the Croatian border. The same two e‑vignettes as the Tauern line, but different tunnels: the Bosruck and Gleinalm tolls on the Pyhrn motorway.

The drive
From Berlin, Leipzig or Dresden the shortest way runs south through Czechia, which adds a Czech e‑vignette to the Austrian and Slovenian ones. The A2 from Vienna to Graz has no tunnel toll, so this line carries no Austrian section toll at all, and the three e‑vignettes are the whole bill before the Croatian toll booths.
Costed for a return trip that leaves one day and comes back 7 days later, so the destination is covered for all 8 calendar days and every country on the way is crossed twice. A longer stay moves a country to a longer e‑vignette and changes the total: the planner works out your own dates.
