Via Kraków, the Chyżne crossing, Ružomberok, Banská Bystrica and Šahy.
You need 2 e‑vignettes, Slovak and Hungarian.
€48.14
Costed for a return trip that leaves one day and comes back 7 days later, so the destination is covered for all 8 calendar days and every country on the way is crossed twice. A longer stay moves a country to a longer e‑vignette and changes the total: the planner works out your own dates.
The countries you cross, in order
Poland
No vignette. Some motorway sections charge a toll, paid at toll stations or through the e-TOLL app.
- €19.75
10-day e‑vignette, covering the 2 days you are in the country
- €28.39
10-day e‑vignette, covering the 8 days you are in the country
Poland charges tolls on the road instead of a vignette.
The drive
The Slovak e‑vignette is charged by road class, not by border. It applies to the D motorways and the R expressways, and the ordinary first-class roads that link them through the mountains are free, so a driver who leaves the R1 south of Banská Bystrica leaves the charge behind as well. Most people stay on the expressway, and then the e‑vignette is needed for both days.
