The drive
Hungary is most of this drive, close to 480 kilometres, and it needs the national e-matrica rather than a county one, because the route runs on the M3, the M0 ring round Budapest and the M1. The charge starts where the motorway does: from the Chop to Záhony crossing, which Ukraine's border service lists as open, road 4 towards Nyíregyháza is an ordinary main road, and the M3 beyond it is tolled. Austria's share is the last 60 kilometres of A4 into Vienna.
