The drive
Three vignettes over about 2,200 kilometres, Austrian, Hungarian and Romanian, with nothing to pay across Belgium and Germany. The Hungarian M43 past Szeged meets Romania's A1 at the Csanádpalota to Nădlac II crossing, the first motorway link between the two countries (Embassy of Hungary in Bucharest, checked 24 September 2026), so you change vignette without leaving the motorway. At two days each way, each country's cover has to include the day you cross it going home as well.
