The drive
The Polish stretch to the Czech border costs a car nothing. The state-run A4 from Wrocław to the Sośnica junction at Gliwice stopped charging light vehicles on 1 July 2023 (e-TOLL, checked 24 September 2026), and the A1 south to the border is not tolled either. The charges start in Czechia, one vignette there and one for the long Austrian leg to Arnoldstein, and Italy's autostrada from Tarvisio is ticketed and paid when you leave it.
