The drive
One vignette, Hungarian, and nothing to pay on the Ukrainian half of the drive. From the Luzhanka to Beregsurány crossing, which Ukraine's border service lists as open, road 41 runs to Vásárosnamény, where the M3 motorway and the need for the e-matrica begin. Hungary gives a driver who joins a tolled road by mistake 60 minutes to buy one (Nemzeti Útdíjfizetési Szolgáltató, checked 24 September 2026), but that is a safety net for an honest error, not a plan: buy it before you reach the M3.
