Everything clear before you set off

Via Utrecht, Cologne, Nuremberg and the Suben crossing at Passau.

You need 1 e‑vignette, Austrian.

€21.75

Costed for a return trip that leaves one day and comes back 7 days later, so the destination is covered for all 8 calendar days and every country on the way is crossed twice. A longer stay moves a country to a longer e‑vignette and changes the total: the planner works out your own dates.

The countries you cross, in order

  • the Netherlands

No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars. The Westerschelde tunnel charges separately.

  • Germany

No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars.

  • Austria

10-day e‑vignette, covering the 8 days you are in the country

    €21.75

No vignette is needed in the Netherlands and Germany.

The drive

One e‑vignette covers this whole drive. The Dutch and German motorways charge a car nothing, and the Austrian leg from Suben to Vienna runs on the A8 and the A1, both ordinary e‑vignette motorways with no separate tunnel toll anywhere on them. Buy the Austrian e‑vignette before you reach Passau, because the first camera gantry is a few hundred metres past the border.
