The drive
The only road charge on this drive is Austrian, and it does not start at the border. Leaving Jutland down the E45 keeps you off the Great Belt bridge, Germany charges a car nothing, and the A12 is exempt from the Austrian vignette between the German border and the Kufstein-Süd junction (oesterreich.gv.at, checked 24 September 2026). From Kufstein-Süd to Innsbruck the vignette is needed, so it has to be valid before that junction, not bought after it.
