How much is the Arlberg section toll?

What a trip is

A trip is one passage through the toll station, in one direction. It can be redeemed within a year of the purchase date, and it is registered to your plate. You can change the plate and the country of registration before the trip is used.

What the shop asks for

ASFINAG asks for your licence plate and its country of registration, each typed twice to catch mistakes. It asks for nothing else: no start date, no vehicle category and no chassis number.

How this relates to the vignette

This section toll is separate from the Austrian vignette. The stretch it covers is excluded from the vignette obligation, so a vignette alone does not pay for it, and buying this ticket does not replace the vignette either. On a motorcycle or towing a trailer

On a motorcycle or towing a trailer, ASFINAG recommends using a staffed toll lane in the middle rather than an automatic one, because the camera that reads number plates does not always read them reliably on a motorcycle or a car with a trailer.
