the Netherlands
No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars. The Westerschelde tunnel charges separately.
Belgium
No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars. The Liefkenshoek tunnel near Antwerp charges separately.
France
Motorway tolls are charged per section and paid at toll stations or by transponder.
No vignette is needed in the Netherlands and Belgium. France charges tolls on the road instead of a vignette.
The drive
This drive costs nothing until France, because neither the Netherlands nor Belgium charges a car anything on the way down. The French autoroute network from Lille to Paris is barrier tolled, so the bill grows with the distance and is paid by card as you leave each section. Belgium's own charge is still ahead: its three regions agreed in July 2026 to bring in a vignette linked to the plate from 2027, but nothing is due at the Belgian border today.
