the Netherlands
No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars. The Westerschelde tunnel charges separately.
Belgium
No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars. The Liefkenshoek tunnel near Antwerp charges separately.
France
Motorway tolls are charged per section and paid at toll stations or by transponder.
No vignette is needed in the Netherlands and Belgium. France charges tolls on the road instead of a vignette.
The drive
Twelve hundred kilometres and almost all of the bill is French. The Netherlands and Belgium add nothing to the total, and the charge only starts once the road becomes a ticketed autoroute past Reims, running all the way to the Mediterranean through Lyon. Drivers who make this run every summer end up paying more in French tolls than most people spend on a whole Alpine vignette. Belgium is free for this trip regardless of when you travel, at least until its own vignette starts in 2027.
