Do motorcycles need a Czech e-vignette?
No. Czechia's e-vignette duty applies to vehicles with at least four wheels and a maximum permissible weight up to 3.5 tonnes. Motorcycles are outside that duty, so there is no Czech motorcycle vignette to buy.
There is no motorcycle product
eDálnice explicitly excludes motorcycles and towed vehicles from the electronic vignette obligation (checked 31 August 2026). That is why official Czech price lists contain no motorcycle category or discounted motorcycle rate.
Do not buy a car e-vignette for a motorcycle plate. It is payment for a product the motorcycle does not need.
The four-wheel rule explains the difference
The Czech charge starts with four wheels and then applies a maximum permissible weight limit of 3.5 tonnes. The registration certificate, not luggage or the number of riders, determines the vehicle facts used by the rule (Czech public administration portal, checked 31 August 2026).
If the trip also uses a car or motorhome, check that vehicle separately rather than carrying the motorcycle answer across to it.
Only buy for the vehicle that needs it
Our Czech car vignette options are for qualifying four-wheel vehicles. A rider towing a motorcycle behind a car may need one e-vignette for the car, but the trailer and motorcycle do not each need another.
Use the towing vehicle's own maximum permissible weight to decide whether it takes an e-vignette or the separate heavy-vehicle toll system.
