Do motorcycles need a Slovak e-vignette?
No, and there is nothing for a rider to buy. Slovakia writes the charge for two-track motor vehicles, so a motorcycle falls outside it rather than qualifying for a cheaper rate, and no Slovak motorcycle vignette exists.
Two-track is the word that decides it
Every category eZnamka charges begins with the phrase two-track motor vehicle (eZnamka charged vehicles, checked 2 September 2026). A solo motorcycle has its wheels in one track, so it never enters the charge, and the exemption list does not need to mention it.
This is a different mechanism from an exemption. An exempt vehicle is registered as exempt and carries a certificate; a motorcycle simply was never in scope, so there is nothing to register and no certificate to carry.

There is no product, so any seller offering one is wrong
The official price list has two classes, one for the vehicle and one for a trailer, each with the same four periods. Neither is a motorcycle (eZnamka types and prices, checked 2 September 2026), and our own Slovak vignette price page lists no motorcycle for the same reason.
A site that sells you a Slovak motorcycle vignette has taken money for something that cannot be registered. If you have already paid one, ask for a refund and check the record against the plate.
The neighbours do not agree with each other
Austria and Hungary both charge motorcycles, so a rider crossing from either into Slovakia stops paying at the border. Czechia does not charge them at all, so that crossing changes nothing.
