Vignettes from Munich to Budapest

Via Salzburg, Linz, Vienna, the Nickelsdorf crossing and Győr.

You need two vignettes, Austrian and Hungarian.

€44.14

for a car: official fees €32.24 plus our service fee €11.90.

Costed for a return trip that leaves one day and comes back 7 days later, so the destination is covered for all 8 calendar days and every country on the way is crossed twice. A longer stay moves a country to a longer vignette and changes the total: the planner works out your own dates.

The countries you cross, in order

  • Germany

No vignette and no motorway tolls for cars.

  • Austria

10-day vignette, covering the 2 days you are in the country

    €18.75
official €12.80 plus our fee €5.95

  • Hungary

10-day vignette, covering the 8 days you are in the country

    €25.39
official €19.44 plus our fee €5.95

No vignette is needed in Germany.

The drive

Seven hundred kilometres on two vignettes, and the German half costs nothing. Austria and Hungary both issue digital vignettes read by camera, so the plate you give has to match the registration document exactly, including the country prefix where the plate carries one. A wrong character is the usual reason a vignette that was paid for does not register.

Buy these for your dates

The total above assumes a week away. Give us your real dates and we price the same drive against them.

You can buy every one of these directly from the operator and pay only the official fee: ASFINAG for Austria, NÚSZ for Hungary. What our fee buys instead.

Route and countries last checked . Prices come from the official tariffs in our catalogue and change with them. Official rules can change: check the operator for the final word.
