Every vignette we sell can be bought directly from the road operator, for less than you pay us. That is worth saying first, because the rest of this page only means anything if you know it. Here is what the difference actually buys you.

What it costs
Doing it yourself
The official road fee and nothing else. Buying direct is the cheapest way to do this, and it always will be.

The same official road fee, plus our service fee. Both appear as separate lines on every page, in checkout and on your receipt. We never merge them into one number.
Where the planner pays for itself
A vignette you did not need costs more than our fee. So does the annual you bought because you could not work out whether ten days would cover the drive home. The route planner is the part of this site that can genuinely leave you better off than doing it yourself.
You give it a start, a destination and your dates. It draws the route, names every country it crosses in order, and puts only the vignettes you actually need into one cart, for the days you are actually there.
- It never guesses how far you drive in a day. Every country on the route is covered on the day you cross it, and your destination for the whole stay.
- Countries that charge tolls on the road, or nothing at all, are named too. Knowing you owe nothing is worth as much as knowing you owe something.
- Every duration is one tap, so a drive you spread over two days becomes a longer vignette instead of a gap.
The fee is small. The mistake is not.
Our service fee is a few euro on a vignette. Driving into Austria without one can mean a substitute toll collected at the roadside, and an administrative penalty of up to €3,000 if that goes unpaid. Every one of these eight countries has its own version of that number.
What you are buying from us is not a website. It is that on the morning you drive, every country you cross is covered, on the right plate, for the right days, and that somebody other than you checked before you left.
