The Czech e-vignette (dálniční známka)

Yes. Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes need a vignette for Czech motorways. It has been fully electronic since 2021: no sticker, just your licence plate in the register.

Motorcycles are exempt in Czechia and need no vignette.

Czechia prices in koruna. We show the official koruna price alongside the euro amount we charge.

Otázky, ktoré si vodiči kladú

How do I buy this vignette online?

Confirm the licence plate and registration country, choose one of Czechia's four lengths, and tell us the vehicle's fuel type, since Czechia prices its motorway charge by fuel system. Pay by card and we register the vignette with eDálnice; we only confirm it is active once that registration is done.

Why does checkout ask for the vehicle's fuel type?

Because eDálnice prices the standard vignette differently for petrol, diesel and electric vehicles than for the eco rates that CNG, LNG and low-emission cars can qualify for. Your answer registers the vignette in the right class; it does not change the price shown on this page, which is the standard rate.

How far ahead can I set the start date?

Up to 28 days. eDálnice sets its own limit as a calendar date rather than a count of days, and on 7 September 2026 it offered every start up to 31 October and would not open November at all (eDálnice, checked 7 September 2026). We stop short of that limit so the day you pick is one the shop will still sell.

Which length should I choose for a single trip?

The 1-day for one crossing, the 10-day if a return leg is even possible, and the 30-day or annual for anything longer. The 10-day costs only modestly more than the 1-day, so it is worth taking whenever you are unsure.
