Hungarian e-vignettes for motorcycles: category D1M
Do motorcycles need a Hungarian e-vignette?
Yes. A motorcycle needs an e-matrica on Hungarian motorways and expressways, bought in its own price category, D1M, at about half the car rate for a day, 10 days or a month. D1M has no annual: a rider who wants a year buys the car category's D1 annual, at the car's price.
D1M is the motorcycle category
NÚSZ sells every e-matrica under a price category, and the category is recorded with the plate. Cars up to seven seats are D1; motorcycles are D1M. On the 2026 price list the D1M day, 10-day and monthly each cost about half their D1 equivalent.
When you order through us, choosing 'Motorcycle' as the vehicle selects the D1M product, and that is the category we register with NÚSZ.
Three lengths, and the annual is a D1 product
D1M comes in three lengths: a day, 10 days and a month. A footnote on NÚSZ's 2026 price list says the rest are bought in category D1: the annual national e-matrica, the annual county e-matrica and the regional one. A rider therefore pays the same for a year as a car driver does.

Which length for a ride through Hungary
The 1-day e-vignette ends at midnight on the day you choose, so it suits a single transit towards Croatia, Serbia or Romania. The 10-day e-vignette covers ten consecutive calendar days, including the start date.
The monthly e-vignette runs to the same date in the following month. Buy it when two rides fall inside one month but more than ten days apart; otherwise the 10-day is the cheaper choice for a tour.
